Are the gameplay images real historical photos?
Not always. Some scenes are AI-generated or AI-reimagined from public-domain inspiration images. Generated assets are labeled, and inspiration images are shown after a round is scored when available.
Why use AI images?
The game needs consistent, readable scenes across eras where direct photography does not exist. The goal is a fair visual clue, not a fake primary source.
How does scoring work?
Each round is worth up to 5000 points: 2500 for map distance and 2500 for timeline accuracy. Older scenes use wider time tolerance so ancient guesses feel fair.
Can I submit scene corrections?
Yes. Use the feedback page and choose the scene or content category. The message is stored in the admin inbox.
Does the game save my account?
The MVP does not require player accounts. Leaderboard submissions use the display name you enter after completing a game.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. The game screen is responsive, including map selection, image zoom and pan, and timeline input.
