These plain-language terms apply when you use EraGuessr. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and follow the rules below. Effective July 12, 2026.

Use of the site
EraGuessr is provided as a browser-based historical map and timeline guessing game. Do not attack the site, collect content excessively, spam forms, bypass security, or disrupt other players.
Historical and generated content
Gameplay images, explanations, dates, and locations are intended for game and educational discovery. Some images are generated or reimagined and should not be treated as historical photographs or primary sources.
Reports and corrections
If a scene appears inaccurate, misleading, offensive, wrongly sourced, or poorly labeled, use feedback or the reveal report flow. Reports may be reviewed, archived, or used to improve scene data.
Accounts and classroom use
Keep profile and private room access secure. Classroom hosts are responsible for school or district approval and any consent required where they operate. Use non-sensitive nicknames, not students' real names or email addresses, and do not use rooms to harass, profile, or collect personal information.
No warranty
EraGuessr is provided as is. The site may contain bugs, unavailable features, inaccurate scene information, generated-image artifacts, or periods of downtime.

These terms may change as features evolve. Material updates will be reflected on this page. Use the feedback page for questions, correction requests, or concerns about these terms.
